What the prices leave out
Markate's single plan carries customer management, automated SMS and email reminders and automated follow ups, at $49.95 for the owner and $5 for each employee, which puts five people at $69.95. Online booking, the customer portal and a texting number are $10 a month each on top. Kickserv's Start plan covers five users for $75 billed monthly, or $60 a month on annual billing, and its card names automated email and text reminders.
QuoteIQ keeps a client database on every plan, but its email and text automation starts on Pro, $199.99 for four users, so a fifth person brings it to $224.99. Fieldd puts a CRM and automated job updates on Start at $199 with ten users included, which is generous for a crew of two. Tradify charges per user, and its customer communications history and appointment reminders start on Pro at $51 a user. ServiceM8 sends quote follow ups and booking confirmations on every plan but prices jobs rather than people, so it is listed without a rank. Housecall Pro and Contractor Foreman do not say which plan carries their customer follow up.
How this list was made
A platform is on this page when its own site names handyman, its pricing page names a CRM or customer follow-up, and it publishes a price. They are ordered by what a crew of 5 pays on the cheapest published plan that covers five people, and by nothing else: no score, no star rating and no say for the companies that pay us a commission. Each is priced on the cheapest plan its pricing page says includes a CRM or customer follow-up. A plan priced by routes, jobs or active customers is not ranked against them, because the size of the crew does not decide what it costs, and nor is a platform whose pricing page does not say which plan includes a CRM or customer follow-up, so those come last with the reason beside them. The answer by crew size is the same rule the picker runs, so the two will not disagree. We have not run any of these on live jobs, and nothing here is written as though we had. Prices change, so check the current figure with the vendor before you buy.
