What the prices leave out
Handyman work is lots of small jobs, which matters more than headcount for two of these three. ServiceM8 does not charge by the seat at all: Starter is $29 for 50 jobs a month with unlimited users, which is about two jobs a working day across the whole business, and it runs on iPhone and iPad only in the field.
Kickserv shows its annual prices first, so the $60 on its page is a yearly rate and the month to month price for five users is $75. It also takes 5% off the plan for a business that puts $1,000 or more a month through Kickserv payments. Markate is $49.95 for the owner and $5 for each employee after, and its online booking is a $10 a month add-on rather than part of the plan.
How this list was made
A platform is on this page when its own site names handyman, its pricing page names GPS tracking or dispatch, and it publishes a price. They are ordered by what a crew of 5 pays on the cheapest published plan that covers five people, and by nothing else: no score, no star rating and no say for the companies that pay us a commission. The answer by crew size is the same rule the picker runs, so the two will not disagree. We have not run any of these on live jobs, and nothing here is written as though we had. Prices change, so check the current figure with the vendor before you buy.
