What the prices leave out
Markate's estimates and quotes are in its one plan, $49.95 for the owner and $5 for each employee, which puts five people at $69.95, and its proposal templates are a $10 a month add-on. QuoteIQ ticks estimates, option estimates and package estimates on all five plans, from Essentials at $29.99 for one user plus $25 for each extra. Housecall Pro sends quotes from Basic, but Basic is one user, so five people are on Essentials at $189, and its visual sales proposal tool is kept for Max.
Contractor Foreman ticks estimates on every plan and prices by user bands, so five people are on Plus at $199. Tradify charges per user and puts quoting on Lite, $47 a user, which makes five people $235. ServiceM8 sends quotes on every plan, its free one included, but prices jobs rather than people, so it is listed without a rank. Kickserv names estimates on its home page without saying which plan has them, so it is listed last.
How this list was made
A platform is on this page when its own site names handyman, its pricing page names estimates or quotes, and it publishes a price. They are ordered by what a crew of 5 pays on the cheapest published plan that covers five people, and by nothing else: no score, no star rating and no say for the companies that pay us a commission. Each is priced on the cheapest plan its pricing page says includes estimates or quotes. A plan priced by routes, jobs or active customers is not ranked against them, because the size of the crew does not decide what it costs, and nor is a platform whose pricing page does not say which plan includes estimates or quotes, so those come last with the reason beside them. The answer by crew size is the same rule the picker runs, so the two will not disagree. We have not run any of these on live jobs, and nothing here is written as though we had. Prices change, so check the current figure with the vendor before you buy.
