What the prices leave out
Measuring a roof is not estimating it. Roofr, RoofSnap and Hover all sell roof reports, and the estimate a homeowner signs sits on a higher plan: Roofr's free Starter carries ten trial proposals in total and unlimited proposals start on Essentials at $249, and RoofSnap's estimates are on its Monthly Subscription at $105 a user, not on pay as you go reports. QuoteIQ sends estimates from Essentials, $29.99 for one user and $25 for each extra, so five people come to $129.99.
Contractor Foreman ticks estimates on every plan, but Basic is one user and sold only by the year, so five people are on Plus at $199 month to month. CompanyCam's proposals start on Crew, which holds three users and adds $34 a month for each one after, so five people come to $217. Crew includes five proposals and Scale unlimited, for companies in the US and Canada only, and Core, at $79, has none and stops at two users. Leap's Essential plan is one user, so five people are on Team. AccuLynx and ServiceTitan publish no price.
Also named, with no published price
Not checked: JobNimbus and SumoQuote name roofing, and their pages could not be read for estimates or quotes, so whether they do is not known, which is not the same as no.
How this list was made
A platform is on this page when its own site names roofing, its pricing page names estimates or quotes, and it publishes a price. They are ordered by what a crew of 5 pays on the cheapest published plan that covers five people, and by nothing else: no score, no star rating and no say for the companies that pay us a commission. Each is priced on the cheapest plan its pricing page says includes estimates or quotes. A plan priced by routes, jobs or active customers is not ranked against them, because the size of the crew does not decide what it costs, and nor is a platform whose pricing page does not say which plan includes estimates or quotes, so those come last with the reason beside them. The answer by crew size is the same rule the picker runs, so the two will not disagree. We have not run any of these on live jobs, and nothing here is written as though we had. Prices change, so check the current figure with the vendor before you buy.
